Son conceptos claros y muy extendidos pero que al final, no son tan f\u00e1ciles de llevar a la pr\u00e1ctica. M\u00e1s a\u00fan si chocan con una cultura empresarial asentada que permite comportamientos potencialmente corrosivos para la innovaci\u00f3n, a los que el l\u00edder debe enfrentarse sin concesiones si desea la transformaci\u00f3n de su empresa y adoptar la econom\u00eda exponencial.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Releyendo un cl\u00e1sico de la literatura sobre innovaci\u00f3n, \u201cProyecto 50\u201d, un libro de Tom Peters del a\u00f1o 2000 cuya idea base era la transformaci\u00f3n de las empresas del \u201ctrabajo por tareas\u201d al \u201ctrabajo organizado por proyectos\u201d encontramos joyas como estas:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>El punto de partida de la innovaci\u00f3n no es contar con una nueva idea o producto sino conocer bien al cliente<\/i>\u201d<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>O esta:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>Los equipos de innovaci\u00f3n motivados se crean a partir de tres necesidades b\u00e1sicas de todo ser humano: logro, autonom\u00eda en el trabajo y participaci\u00f3n en las decisiones\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p>De esta \u00faltima, Peters deduc\u00eda que: <b>\u201c<i>La confianza es el centro de la colaboraci\u00f3n<\/i>\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Y aqu\u00ed es donde lo enlazamos con el tema de este post: \u00bfcu\u00e1les son las conductas inapropiadas en un equipo de innovaci\u00f3n que atentan contra este principio de confianza y que por lo tanto amenazan los esfuerzos por la innovaci\u00f3n? Estas conductas tan peligrosas son tres:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Cinismo<\/b>: una actitud corrosiva que cuestiona la motivaci\u00f3n de los equipos.<\/li>\n<li><b>Resistencia pasivo-agresiva<\/b>: una resistencia real al cambio que no se manifiesta como cr\u00edtica en p\u00fablico, pero s\u00ed en privado o en peque\u00f1os c\u00edrculos y que va introduciendo obst\u00e1culos constantes en el proceso.<\/li>\n<li><b>Cr\u00edtica directa<\/b> a cada paso y que socava la energ\u00eda del equipo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Un buen l\u00edder es aquel que consigue llevar a su equipo a donde nunca hubiese ido solo<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Es importante que cuando un l\u00edder del cambio y de la innovaci\u00f3n detecte estas actitudes reaccione en\u00e9rgicamente contra ellas pues destruyen la confianza, la motivaci\u00f3n y la creencia en la mejora. Muchas empresas en las que su cultura est\u00e1 enferma de estas actitudes han desaparecido del mercado al no haber podido avanzar al ritmo que \u00e9ste lo ha hecho y haberse quedado enganchadas a sus \u00e9xitos y esplendor pasados cuando los tiempos marcaban otras direcciones.<\/p>\n<p>Frente a estas actitudes negativas, un equipo de innovaci\u00f3n, seg\u00fan Peters, deber\u00eda potenciar estas otras tres:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Respeto<\/b> entre todos los miembros del equipo.<\/li>\n<li><b>Integridad<\/b>, entendida como un clima en el que tanto los retos como los problemas que van surgiendo se discuten abiertamente.<\/li>\n<li><b>Generosidad<\/b>, entendida como aquella en la que los m\u00e9ritos conseguidos son repartidos entre todo el equipo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Todo al final lleva a la necesidad de un <b>liderazgo cuyo \u00e9xito se fundamente m\u00e1s en la influencia que en la autoridad<\/b>, tal y como lo enunciaba el escritor Ken Blanchard.<\/p>\n<p>En suma, un buen l\u00edder es aquel que consigue llevar a su equipo a donde nunca hubiese ido solo, lo que conlleva una gran dosis de inspiraci\u00f3n, sin perder de vista que los obst\u00e1culos han de ser tambi\u00e9n encarados y eliminados.
